How much can I get back?
Approximately 7โ8% of your total eligible purchases. Korean VAT is 10%, but refund operators take ~20% as service fee. Use our calculator above for precise estimates.
Do medical treatments qualify?
No โ services (including aesthetic treatments and consultations) are not eligible for tax-free refunds. However, related products (skincare, medications, wellness) often qualify.
Cash or card refund โ which is better?
Both options are available at major Korean airports. Cash refunds up to โฉ750,000 per transaction are typically paid in Korean won at the kiosk. Card is often faster.
What if I lose a receipt?
That's exactly why we provide the digital folder. But if you lose the original, most stores can reissue within a few days if you have the credit card transaction record.
