How much can I get back?
Approximately 7–8% of your total eligible purchases. Korean VAT is 10%, but refund operators take ~20% as service fee. Use our calculator above for precise estimates.
Do medical treatments qualify?
No — services (including aesthetic treatments and consultations) are not eligible for tax-free refunds. However, related products (skincare, medications, wellness) often qualify.
Cash or card refund — which is better?
Both options are available at major Korean airports. Cash refunds up to ₩750,000 per transaction are typically paid in Korean won at the kiosk. Card is often faster.
What if I lose a receipt?
That's exactly why we provide the digital folder. But if you lose the original, most stores can reissue within a few days if you have the credit card transaction record.
